In accordance with our vision—Alberta: a safe place to live, work, and play—the Safety Codes Council has published a new code of Ethics for Master Electricians. The purpose of this Code of Ethics is to clarify the ethical standards and responsibilities that apply to Master Electricians and to advance the safety system by entrenching a high standard of ethical conduct, similar to other regulated occupations that are subject to a formal code of ethics.
Effective immediately, all Master Electricians will be required to adhere to the Code of Ethics when engaged in their work.
A course will not be required, but Master Electricians must agree to the Code of Ethics when they renew their applications.
The Master Electricians Code of Ethics can be viewed here.
