Intent and Application Statements Alberta Fire Code 2006
The intent and application statements provide useful explanatory information relating to the prescriptive requirements of the Alberta Fire Code 2006. The application statements describe the situations to which each Division B technical requirement applies and the intent statements explain the reason for a Division B provision. This document has been prepared to assist the user in understanding the requirements of the code, for the betterment of safety, consistency, and uniformity of code application.
Verification of Compliance
Verification of Compliance (VOC) is a compliance monitoring tool that was introduced in the Uniform Quality Management Plan (UQMP) to recognize means by which a Safety Codes Officer (SCO) may accept a third party verification in certain circumstances.
This course is designed for non-safety codes officer permit issuers. It deals with their responsibilities under the Safety Codes Act and Permit Regulation AR 204/2007.
