A designation of powers authorizes SCOs to function within the framework established by an accredited organization's Quality Management Plan.
To obtain designation of powers, the SCO, or person hired to issue permits, and the accredited organization make a joint application.
To obtain permit issuer designation of powers, the person hired to issue permit and the accredited organization make a joint application.
