Courses 

At the bottom of this page, there is a list of courses that can be taken through the Safety Codes Council. The courses are designed for safety codes officers, but may be of interest to architects, designers, engineers, etc. For information on becoming a certified safety codes officer, please visit the certification section.

 

For the convenience of our adult learners we try to offer the courses in a variety of formats.

 

Classroom

 

Some of our courses are available through classroom delivery. See the Scheduled Offerings section for information on upcoming training.

 

Webinar

 

In order to meet the needs of safety codes officers who may be living in remote rural areas or are otherwise unavailable to attend a live classroom setting, the council offers webinars. Information on upcoming webinars is available in the Scheduled Offerings section. One benefits to webinar training is that you have the ability to have questions answered in real time by an instructor without leaving home.

 

Distance

 

Most of our courses are available by print-based correspondence. There are some advantages to distance training: start anytime there are no terms or semesters, learning is self-paced and there is up to six months to complete a course, all registered students have access to a course advisor who will answer questions and provide clarification on course content.

 

For all of our courses you can pay on a course by course basis.
