The Safety Codes Council is presently seeking an individual with a solid legal background to fill a vacancy on the existing Board of Directors. Board appointments are for terms of three years and Board members are expected to attend approximately six meetings per year.

Building Course Developers
The Safety Codes Council is looking to hire two course developers for two year term positions to revise all Council’s Building courses to reflect changes to the new code. Ideal candidates will have building safety codes officer experience, be certified in Building Groups A and B to Level 3, have participated on technical code committees, and have some experience in the training area.
Revision of the 22 Building courses will include:
- revising numerical references and dates
- revising text of provisions quoted in the courses
- adding new provisions to course material
- creating new explanatory material
- revising material relating to Standards as required
- correcting any inaccuracies found in the course materials
- revising and creating of new diagrams as needed
- preparing and revising self-tests complete with answer keys
- preparing and revising of final examination with answer keys
- collaborating with a multimedia developer and training development coordinator to create multimedia products
Each course developer will provide feedback on the course revisions completed by the other developer.
The competition will remain open until two suitable candidates have been found. We may consider part-time employment (please indicate this in resume) and secondment opportunities from other organizations.
