The Alberta Safety Codes Authority (ASCA) contracts accredited agencies to provide safety codes related services in the unaccredited areas of Alberta in the Building, Electrical, Gas, Plumbing, and Private Sewage Disposal System Disciplines.
ASCA is not currently accepting applications for contracted agencies. A Request for Proposal (RFP) for the provision of services related to the Safety Codes Act was issued October 12, 2021 via the Alberta Purchasing Connection website. The RFP closed on November 12, 2021.
Agencies whose proposals were accepted entered into an agreement with ASCA commencing on January 1, 2022 and ending December 31, 2024, with the option of extending the agreement for two subsequent terms of one year each.
