Fees

The Safety Codes Council is self-funded through the fees paid by those who use and benefit from Alberta’s safety codes system. This includes permit levies, accreditation fees, and other charges.

The Council strives to balance the cost of providing services to Albertans with the need to ensure that individuals and organizations have access to the safety codes system. We strive to offer many of our services, particularly those focused on education, at as low a price as possible.

Changes to the Council’s mandate may require revisions to its levy and fee structure. The Council is committed to making these revisions in consultation with stakeholders.
