Course Information
Working with our partners in the safety codes system, the Council develops and delivers training for safety codes officers as well as courses for the professional development of our clients and partners.
What we offer
The Safety Codes Council develops and delivers two kinds of training:
Safety codes officer training: This training, including Base Competency and Technical courses, covers the code knowledge that SCOs need to issue permits, perform inspections, and fulfill other compliance monitoring services.
Professional development courses: These courses are meant for SCO Continuing Education and as a resource for other professionals, these courses will deepen students’ understanding of the safety codes system and best practices for professionals.
