Quality Management System
The Quality Management System (QMS) is the terms and conditions of accreditation.
The QMS describes the scope, operational requirements, and service delivery standards that will be met in the administration of an organization’s accreditation.
Applicants for accreditation can either:
- Path One: Follow the Council-prescribed Quality Management Plan and complete a draft Quality Management Plan to apply.
- Path Two: Reach out to Accreditation at accreditation@safetycodes.ab.ca to discuss a proposal for an alternative, risk-based Quality Management System. This option is only open to municipalities, corporations, regional services commissions, and delegated administrative organizations.
To learn more about applying for accreditation, see Become Accredited.
A QMS cannot be modified or implemented without the approval of the Administrator.
