The Safety Codes Council is committed to sharing safety codes system data to support evidence-based decisions, innovation, and improved public safety outcomes. As part of this commitment, we are sharing a new, self-serve storage tank search locator through our new Safety Codes System Data Hub.
This free, publicly available self-serve tool provides fast and reliable access to confirm storage tanks locations within areas of the province served by the Alberta Safety Codes Authority (ASCA). This ensures customers have access to the transparent and reliable data necessary to support a safer, more prosperous Alberta.

About This Data
- Scope: This tool is designed to allow users to quickly confirm storage tank locations and establishes the foundation for future storage tank trend, risk, and environmental insights in later data products.
- Frequency: This data is updated daily and reflects the most recent data uploaded by municipalities.
- Exclusions: This tool provides storage tank data on areas serviced by ASCA only. If you are in one of the following municipalities, please contact them directly for storage tank data:
- City of Calgary
- City of Edmonton
- City of Lethbridge
- City of Medicine Hat
- City of Red Deer
- City of Spruce Grove
- County of Newell / Bassano / Duchess / Rosemary (Joint Municipality)
- Leduc County
- Regional Municipality of Wood Buffalo
- Town of Taber
