That’s why our strategy sets a bold new direction for the Safety Codes Council (the Council), one that is about more than advancing the safety codes system; it’s about leadership for a safe, prosperous, and competitive Alberta.

Message from the President and CEO
The Safety Codes Council was a bold idea with a strong history built to bring expertise together for Albertans — to make the structural and technical safety system highly innovative, safe, efficient, and cost effective.
We’ve taken the unique history of our safety codes system as a challenge to work differently. By creating a strategy that intentionally plans for a changing world, we can work at the speed of our province’s innovators and investors. Because we all win when Alberta wins.
Our strategy’s commitment to excellent service means harnessing our systems, connections, and investment capability to solve problems — bringing the right expertise, the right technology, and the right leadership together armed with the data, systems, and processes to ensure not only progress, but the innovative mindset needed to encourage and test new ideas.
