The Safety Codes Council offers two student awards: the Student Award and Indigenous Bursary Program. These programs support aspiring safety codes officers by covering up to 100 percent of the certification cost through course credits. Recipients may also receive other benefits, like professional memberships and professional development opportunities.

You must:
- Be pursuing a new certification level
- Meet entry qualifications for your discipline
- Live in Alberta
- Not have employer funding available

- Financial need
- Experience or interest in the safety codes system
