The Safety Codes Council offers two student awards: the Student Award and Indigenous Bursary Program.  These programs support aspiring safety codes officers by covering up to 100 percent of the certification cost through course credits. Recipients may also receive other benefits, like professional memberships and professional development opportunities.

Who Can Apply

You must:

  • Be pursuing a new certification level
  • Meet entry qualifications for your discipline
  • Live in Alberta
  • Not have employer funding available

What We Look For

We prioritize applicants with:

  • Financial need
  • Experience or interest in the safety codes system

Application Deadline: May 31

Submit your application online by May 31. Late applications may be considered if funds are available.
