New Stakeholder Engagement Framework

The Safety Codes Council is proud to announce the launch of its new Stakeholder Engagement Framework, aimed at strengthening partnerships and building mutually beneficial relationships with its stakeholders. This framework is designed to ensure the perspectives of clients and stakeholders are incorporated into the Council’s programs and services, as the safety codes system in Alberta is complex and constantly evolving.

The Stakeholder Engagement Framework was created with guidance from the best practices of the International Association of Public Participation (IAP2) and reviewed by both internal and external partners before publication. This framework provides insight into the Council’s engagement approach, methods, and direction as it works with stakeholders to understand shared risks and establish common goals within the safety system.

The Safety Codes Council is committed to working closely with its stakeholders to promote a culture of collaboration and transparency. Effective stakeholder engagement is a critical component of the Council’s mission, mandate, and strategic plan, and the new framework will guide its efforts in this area.
