New Digital ID Cards for Safety Codes Officers

Starting October 1, 2026, all safety codes officer (SCO) ID cards will be issued digitally through Council Connect. 

Moving to digital ID cards will allow SCOs to access their ID cards anytime, anywhere, providing immediate access to their most current certification information. The digital ID card will be considered the official version of the document. 

Beginning October 1, 2026: 

• SCO ID cards will no longer be mailed when certification is renewed. 

• New SCOs will no longer receive a physical ID card by mail. 

• Existing physical ID cards remain valid until the expiry date printed on them, but all future ID cards will be issued digitally. 

• The digital SCO ID card may be used whenever proof of certification is requested.
