Electrical Code Update Requirement for Master Electrician and Electrical SCO’s
The 2024 Canadian Electrical Code, Part I (26th Edition) was published on March 4, 2024, and is scheduled to come into force on April 1, 2025 throughout the Province of Alberta.
To maintain their certificates of competency, all master electricians and Electrical Group A safety codes officers are required to complete mandatory 2024 Canadian Electrical Code Update training by April 1, 2025, and submit their completion certificates to the Safety Codes Council through their Council Connect account.
