Free ULC-S1001 Standard Training

The Underwriters Laboratories of Canada (ULC) has scheduled four dates for a free, interactive webinar on ULC S1001: Integrated systems testing of fire protection and life safety systems. These courses will take place in August and September.

The webinar will last three hours. Some of the topics that will be covered include:

  • The history of the Canadian National Building and Fire Codes and the origin of the CAN/ULC-S1001 Standard.
  • Testing qualifications, the testing process, and some of the key requirements for periodic, retroactive, and modifications testing.
  • Integrated testing requirements and procedures as outlined in Section 6 of the CAN/ULC-S1001 Standard.
  • Documentation and testing forms found in Section 7 of the CAN/ULC-S1001 Standard, as well as the sample integrated testing plan found in Appendix C.

Each session will admit a maximum of 50 students. Registration is open on a first-come, first-served basis.
